The StepApp Foundation is a charity aimed at helping others in dire need in the rural areas of Ghana. It was founded by the renowned Ghanaian footballer Stephen Appiah. Raised from a humble background in Chorkor, Stephen has achieved success through hard work and determination and would like to help others of similar background share in his success.
 
  StepApp Foundations has the following aims and objectives:
  To give the underprivileged access to basic health care in Ghana.
  To raise funds to help the needy and poor in the rural areas of Ghana.
  To mentor and encourage the youth to adopt healthy lifestyles
   

To encourage others to help promote a healthy society.

Oral Hygiene Campaign - Oct 2008 - 2009

An Oral Hygiene programme has been organised this year and under the program, teachers from selected schools would be trained in Good Oral Hygiene to equip them with knowledge and skill to effectively carry out oral hygiene campaigns in their respective schools more..

 

STEPAPP TO SPORTS DAY PICTURES

The StepApp foundation was launched on the 4th of July 2007 in Accra and in attendance were all the media houses in Ghana, 100 inhabitants from Chorkor who were registered on the National Health Insurance Scheme, some elders of Chorkor and some officials from the National Health Insurance Scheme.

The Foundation has set up a trust with HFC Bank (Ghana) Ltd where a set amount of money has been invested and profits yielded annually will be utilised in managing the foundation.

Apart from this initial investment, StepApp Foundation will also hold various fundraising activities to support the foundation.

During 2008 - 2009, the foundation will organise a Stephen Appiah Sports day, Oral Hygiene Campaign and work on a Mother and Child Health centre in Chorkor. More campaigns will be run yearly to promote a healthy Ghana
